Sumit is Co-founder and CMO of Fintech Innovations International (FII), the company that has launched TRADEASSETS. He has twenty five years of experience as a global financial institutions specialist with expertise in trade finance and international payments. He started his career with Price Waterhouse, working on software evaluation and management consultancy projects before moving to banking, where he worked for American Express Bank in India, USA and the UAE. After Amex and before founding FII in 2017, he was a Managing Director in Deutsche Bank, responsible for institutions in the Middle East and Africa.
Sumit has extensive experience in e-Products, primary and secondary trade finance, asset distribution, international payments and cash management. In over two decades in service, sales, product and relationship management in three continents, he has directly covered institutions and managed teams, covering Asia, North America, Middle East and Africa. He has always executed strategy with success, mostly in difficult markets and under unfavourable circumstances. His venture into Fintech stems from a strong desire to continue to help create efficiencies and resolve problems, but from a different perspective and this time, for the industry as a whole. Sumit holds an MBA in Finance and a Master’s degree in International Management from the University of Texas at Dallas.
