36th Annual Forfaiting Conference: Rome 2009

This year’s Annual Conference, which will take place in Rome from 2nd to 4th September will be our 10th Anniversary and therefore a landmark in ITFA’s history

The Conference will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, St. Peter’s near Rome’s magnificent Vatican City. As usual it is expected to be attended by everyone who’s anyone in the forfaiting world. In consideration of ITFA’s 10th anniversary, the Board has invited John Egli, former Chairman and founder of the Association, to attend this year’s Conference.

The Conference programme will include, among other things, presentations on electronic trading and analysis of the events of the past year when lawyers, economists, bankers and exporters will provide their perspective. In addition the conference will be preceded by an ITFA Education Course, which will take place at the same venue on the afternoon of Tuesday 1st September and the morning of Wednesday 2nd.

The Conference will coincide with the change of four Board members after six years of service. Lucio Matassoni, Steve Coleman, Waltraud Raderschall and Sal Chiappinelli will all leave their Board positions. All ITFA members are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting, which will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 3rd September when they will have the opportunity to elect new members to the ITFA Board.

The climax of the three-day gathering will be Thursday’s Gala Dinner, the highlight of the forfaiting calendar. This will be held at one of the most spectacular locations in Rome and will include, as usual, surprises and entertainment.

You will shortly be receiving details of how to register for the Conference. See you in Rome.
