The ITFA’s annual conference has just come to an successful end in Dubrovnik. A beautiful city with an irresistible panorama hosted this year’s Annual Conference at the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel. Around 175 delegates from 34 countries gathered together to exchange views, experiences and ideas under these difficult times for the global economy. Also, it was another excellent opportunity for delegates to meet face-to-face, build trust and create networking that will lead to fruitful business relations.
During the AGM that took place on Thursday 13th September among the other subjects of the Agenda, there were the Elections for the ITFA Executive Board. Demetris Zouzoukis (Marfin Factors & Forfaiters) and Daniel Schär (Zürcher Kantonalbank) were re-elected for another 3-year term, whereas Lixin Guo from Bank of China was elected for first time. Paul Langford (Portigon/ ex-West LB) stepped down from the Board, and everyone thanked him for his valuable contribution during the last 3 years, as Head of Regions.
Some rare unseasonable weather forced a retreat indoors for the Gala Dinner but did nothing to stop the enjoyment of the event. The really interesting presentations by all speakers gave valuable information, advice and insight to all participants.
