At this year’s ITFA Annual Conference, Damian Austin – Bank ABC and also the Deputy Chairman of ITFA, will chair the Panel discussion titled ‘‘Global Issues and Local Solutions: a view from the ITFA Regions”. The rest of the panel will consist of the various Heads of the ITFA Regional Committees.
During the ITFA 44th Annual Trade and Forfaiting Conference, which is being held in Edinburgh between the 6-8 September 2017, the panel will be discussing the current market trends both internationally and locally as well as the regulatory landscape and how this does potentially differ across the various regions. The panel will also discuss many of the regional initiatives undertaken by the RC’s during 2016/17 and how this ties in more widely with the global ITFA initiatives. From those individuals on the panel, we will have a representation from all corners of the globe for a truly global view of current trends in International Trade Finance.
It is with great pleasure that we introduce Damian Austin, Global Head of Trade Debt and Distribution at Bank ABC and also the Deputy Chairman of the International Trade and Forfaiting Association (ITFA). Damian has worked in international Trade Finance for over 20 years with roles in origination, structuring, and distribution and syndications with particular focus on business in developing and emerging markets in the trade finance space. Prior to joining Bank ABC, Damian was the Global Head of Trade Finance Syndications at Barclays Bank and has also held senior roles at HSBC and WestLB AG during his 20 years in banking.
