At the ITFA Annual Conference, Anurag Chaudhary (Managing Director and Global Head of Trade Distribution and Syndication – Citibank London) will chair a Panel comprising of seniors from trade to discuss:
1. Trade Overview:
- Their views regarding international trade business over the next 2-3 years
- What changes they are expecting in the trade industry over the next 2-3 years?
- How do they perceive regulatory and compliance requirements effecting trade business?
- Impact on Basel-II and Basel-III regarding trade business
2. Role of Distribution:
- What role does trade asset distribution/syndications play in overall bank’s trade business/strategy over the next 2-3 years?
- Senior management preference for unfunded and/or funded risk participations? And Why?
- Is trade distribution a revenue (help improve trade business returns) or cost center at your bank?
- Are they looking at transaction level liquidity or overall liquidity of trade assets?
3. Supply Chain:
- Is Supplier Finance a growth engine for trade business overall? And why?
- How do they perceive the Supply Chain market will evolve in the future?
- What role do they expect Trade Distribution to play in Supplier Finance business going forward?
4. Alternate Investors:
- Their views regarding expanding investors to Non-Banks/ Alternate Investor
- And how do we, as an industry, approach Alternate Investors?
- What kind of trade assets/structures should we be approaching these investors?
